Windows Autopilot: What it is and how it works

This is a really good video that explains what Windows AutoPilot is and how its used. Unpack your Windows 10 device and be the first employed to smell the fresh plastic and first to hit the start buttom of your device. What’s not to love within this incredible technology. – Microsoft thumbs up!

Prerequisites:

  • OS requirements: Windows 10 version 1703 or higher is required.
  • Network requirements: Ensure DNS name resolution for internet DNS names and allowing access to all hosts via port 80 (HTTP), 443 (HTTPS), and 123 (UDP/NTP)
  • Licencing requirements: Microsoft 365 Business
    Enterprise E3 or E5
    Enterprise mobility + Security (EMS) E3 or E5
    Intune for Education
    Azure AD Premium P1 or P2

Note:This Video is quite old from late 2017. New features and setting may have changed in the meantime, but the ground idea of what Windows AutoPilot is and whats it can be used for are the same today as in 2017.The video is from a Microsoft Ignite Session
